When it comes to perfume, Chanel No. 5 is definitely a hors concours. In Coco Chanel’s words “a woman’s perfume with a woman’s scent”.
Created by Ernest Beaux in 1921, this perfume meant a huge innovation both in production technique, packaging and marketing.  It is a mysterious and impossible to decipher perfume that still now, lives in the female imaginarium AND in the shopping list of man and woman all over the globe.

Mason Chanel launched some time ago a new website called Inside Chanel to tell the history behind some iconic products, and of course, Chanel No. 5 couldn’t be out of the list. Watch below this great history of innovation, fashion and beauty.
